These include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, UnionPay International, as well as popular mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Accepted card types encompass Credit, Corporate, Debit (processed like credit), Prepaid, and Rewards cards.

C. In the event of billing disputes, any legal proceedings shall be conducted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. It is understood that all judicial or legal fees resulting from such disputes shall be the responsibility of the client.

D. If a client requests to switch payment methods, any remaining balance will be charged to the updated method. The client assumes liability for any additional fees that may arise. The updated payment method will become the primary payment. In the event of a failure with the updated payment method, the previous payment method will be utilized, resulting in late fees for each day the payment is overdue.

E. Overpayments may be refunded in several ways, depending on the circumstances. They can be applied towards the renewal of a membership package, or credited towards another booking.

F. Taxes are determined based on the location where the service is conducted. Additionally, please note that additional fees may be incurred during the billing process due to processing fees, which are subject to change as vendor rates fluctuate.

G. For single-session payments, credit/debit cards are automatically billed for each session according to the Scholar Sign billing cycle. Payments are typically processed in two ways: (1) week before the session, (2) 50% deposit before and 50% after each session and cover all lessons that took place on that day. While the day of payment processing may occasionally change, such as on public holidays, the billing cycle itself remains consistent.

III. Weekly Tutoring, Rescheduling, and Commitment:

A. Scholar Sign primarily accepts students who commit to weekly tutoring. We firmly believe that our highly skilled team can offer the most value to students through regular tutoring sessions. While we understand that occasional cancellations and lesson rescheduling may be necessary, students who consistently demonstrate a lack of commitment to weekly tutoring may be subject to termination. This policy ensures that our tutors can be allocated to students on our waiting list who are committed to regular tutoring. We make multiple attempts to contact students to reaffirm their commitment to weekly tutoring before any termination occurs.

B. Occasional cancellations are excused absences and may include circumstances such as: life or death situations, family emergencies,
medical emergencies, and unforeseen weather conditions. When rescheduling sessions, it’s important to ensure that the number of rescheduled sessions does not exceed 3 times per month.

Missed sessions must be rescheduled within the same month and cannot be carried over to the next month unless in special cases. Towards the end of the month, full payment for missed sessions must be made prior to the start of the new month. This ensures that the scheduling remains manageable and that all sessions are utilized effectively.

C. Repeated cancellations or rescheduling beyond the allowed limit may lead to the immediate termination. In such cases, the client is required to pay the complete balance. This policy ensures that the scheduling of sessions remains consistent and that the services provided can be efficiently managed.

D. Rescheduling missed sessions due to technical issues or unforeseen circumstances on the tutor’s end will be excused. In such cases, the tutor must find an alternative makeup date and time within 48 hours for a date within the same month to maintain the required attendance for the package. This ensures that students receive the full value of their tutoring sessions despite occasional disruptions.Tutors are allowed to be interchanged without prior notice as long as the tutor is qualified and standards will be maintained.

E. To reschedule or cancel a session, please ensure to contact us directly. First, be sure to contact your tutor to cancel any upcoming lessons. After informing your tutor, please notify Scholar Sign by emailing us at info@scholarsign.com. You can utilize our app or the link provided on our website to contact us. We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the session to avoid charges. It’s important to note that rescheduling or canceling a session within 24 hours may result in the tutor charging the full cost of the tutoring session.Your cooperation in adhering
to these guidelines helps maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of our tutoring services.Thank you for your cooperation.

IV. Termination of Tutoring:

A. For Single Session-by-Session Pay Students, it’s important to notify Scholar Sign within 14 days of your last session. If you haven’t attended a lesson yet, you must contact Scholar Sign within 14 days of signing up. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee equivalent to 6 tutoring hours. Any unpaid lessons will be billed as per usual at the end of a month’s billing cycle. Your prompt communication helps us maintain accurate records and ensures a seamless experience for all parties involved. Thank you for your cooperation.

B. Late termination penalties are at Scholar Sign’s discretion and depend on the circumstance. Penalties can include an additional 5-6% of the total package balance. Failure to notify within the designated timeframe will result in additional fees applied to the outstanding balance of the total package. Additionally, returning physical materials must be done during normal business hours and completed within 2 business days from the official termination date. Your adherence to these policies ensures the smooth handling of terminations and helps maintain the integrity of our services. Thank you for your cooperation.

C. Outstanding payments or balances owed by the student upon termination must be settled within a 3-month period. Scholar Sign will securely store a credit card on file to facilitate outstanding payments. If a parent fails to pay for the most recent class booking before making a new booking, they will be unable to continue booking sessions until the outstanding session is paid for.

All property belonging to Scholar Sign must be returned within 2 business days of termination. The complete balance is due upon cancellation, regardless of the number of sessions completed.

Clients reserve the right to cancel at any time, but they are responsible for settling the total balance of the package or membership due immediately upon cancellation. An available option for an extension of payment within the three-month period following their termination is possible, subject to discussion and agreement with Scholar Sign.

V. Contracts:

A. Although there are no formal contracts, users are obligated to adhere to the terms and conditions stipulated in this agreement. You retain the right to discontinue tutoring services at any time. Following this, please notify us via email at info@scholarsign.com.

Any unpaid lessons will be subject to charges, and no additional action will be necessary from your end.

1. Student Behavior: Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child maintains appropriate behavior during tutoring sessions. This includes refraining from disruptive behavior, showing respect towards the tutor and other students, and engaging in the learning process actively.

2. Attendance and Punctuality: Parents should ensure that their child attends tutoring sessions regularly and arrives on time. Consistent attendance and punctuality contribute significantly to the effectiveness of the tutoring experience.

3. Preparation and Participation: Parents should encourage their child to come prepared for each tutoring session by completing assigned tasks or homework beforehand. Active participation in lessons and a willingness to engage with the material are essential for academic progress.

4. Communication: Parents are encouraged to maintain open communication with the tutor regarding their child’s progress, challenges, and any concerns they may have. Clients are restricted to booking one session per day, except in cases of special scheduling arrangements. Sessions for the upcoming week are made available every Sunday for booking from Monday through Saturday; otherwise, all sessions are closed until the subsequent Sunday.

2. Tutor Availability:

Tutor availability is subject to change, and clients are encouraged to check and verify tutor availability through the booking site.

3. Confirmation and Reminders:

Upon booking, students will receive a confirmation email or notification confirming their session details.

Reminders for upcoming sessions will be sent to students prior to the scheduled time.

IX. Cancellation and Refund Policies:

Scholar Sign has established cancellation policies to ensure the efficient operation of our tutoring services and to respect the time and resources of our tutors. By enrolling in our tutoring services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by our cancellation policies.

A. Cancellation Requests:

Students must request to cancel a tutoring session by informing Scholar Sign at least 24 hours before the scheduled session.

Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the session may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of a single session-by-session pay rate tutoring session.

Exceptions to cancellation fees may be granted for circumstances deemed probable causes, such as medical emergencies, family emergencies, natural disasters, acts of God, unforeseen circumstances, car accidents, and events beyond the client’s control.

B. Refund Policy:

No Refunds. All payments and deposits are non-refundable.

C. No Shows:

The full session fee is forfeited. If unpaid, the remaining balance must still be paid.

D. Late Arrival:

After 15 minutes late, the session continues only for the remaining time. No extensions.

E. Late Departure:

After 10 minutes, there’s a fee of up to $25. Other sessions that come afterwards must be timely, so we enforce this to protect our upcoming sessions.

F. Deposits:

All deposits made for packages are non-refundable.

These deposits will be applied towards the total price of the selected package and will be deducted from the final payment amount.
